How it works
Send a postcode, get back every elected representative for that location — grouped by area type. Each representative includes name, party, email, and other contact details where available.
GET /api/postcodes/:postcode
Returns areas, representatives, deprivation indices, area classification, and 15+ statistical datasets covering census, crime, health, housing, environment, and more.

Statistical datasets
Each postcode response includes neighbourhood-level data attached via ONS geography codes (LSOA, MSOA, constituency, local authority). All data comes from official open sources.
- Census 2021 — population, ethnicity, tenure, health, qualifications (ONS, March 2021)
- IMD 2019 — deprivation ranks and deciles across 7 domains (MHCLG, England only)
- Crime — 12-month rolling totals by category (data.police.uk, England & Wales)
- House Prices — median price paid, quarterly rolling (ONS / Land Registry)
- Fuel Poverty — % fuel-poor households (DESNZ, 2022 estimates, England only)
- Benefits — Universal Credit claimant counts and rates (DWP, monthly)
- Energy Performance — median EPC efficiency and band distribution (DLUHC, cumulative)
- Broadband — average download/upload speeds (Ofcom, 2023)
- Air Quality — NO&sub2; and PM2.5 annual means (DEFRA, 2022 modelled)
- Flood Risk — % properties at risk (Environment Agency, 2023, England only)
- Child Poverty — child poverty rate and FSM eligibility (End Child Poverty, 2022/23)
- Life Expectancy — at birth by sex, healthy life expectancy (ONS, 2018-20 pooled)
- Election Results — 2024 General Election full results (Commons Library)
- Health Assets (AHAH) — access to GPs, pharmacies, green space (CDRC, 2022)
- GP Registrations — patient counts by practice (NHS Digital, quarterly)

What's included per representative
Name, area, source, party affiliation, and a metadata object containing email, phone, photo URL, and social media links where available.
