The Genomics Ordering management project is designed to streamline and optimise the genomics test order management between primary, secondary, and tertiary care settings (within England) and the NHS Genomic Medicine Service for WGS (Whole Genome Sequencing) and Non-WGS (Non-Whole Genome Sequencing) genomics testing pathways. In this context, interoperability is defined as the ability to electronically request, process, manage and track genomic requests, samples, results and reports across multiple settings in a standardised approach.
