Everything below was read out of a PDF by a model It is useful and it is not authoritative. The document it came from is linked in the rail, and where the two disagree the document is right.

The proposal is to transfer Roundabout nursery to an alternative early years provider while retaining the same age range, hours, weeks of operation and early years free entitlement offer. The assessment identifies disproportionate potential impacts on disadvantaged children, children with SEND, children from minority ethnic backgrounds, women, carers, migrants and refugees, and other affected families, with mitigation measures intended to preserve provision and staff terms.

Recommendation
Transfer Roundabout nursery to an alternative early years provider under a service specification requiring the current provision, early years free entitlement offer, support for disadvantaged communities and protected groups, and staff terms under TUPE to remain in place.
Financial impact
Proposed saving of £50,000 in 2026/27, £215,170 in 2027/28 and £100,000 in 2028/29.

Next steps

parsed
  • Identify an alternative provider.
  • Consult fully with staff and parents once an alternative provider has been identified.
  • Include requirements in the service specification to preserve the current provision and early years free entitlement offer.
  • Transfer staff on the same terms and conditions under TUPE.
  • Support families through Family Hubs to access places in other nurseries if they wish.
  • Monitor impacts through termly early years census data, the annual audit of the nursery's EYFE offer and the Childcare Sufficiency Assessment.
