Everything below was read out of a PDF by a model It is useful and it is not authoritative. The document it came from is linked in the rail, and where the two disagree the document is right.

The report proposed creating a single one-form-entry Hertford primary school by relocating Hertford Infant School to the Hertford Junior School site and extending the age range to 4–11. Despite most consultation respondents opposing the proposal, the report noted support from affected parents, governors and staff and sought approval to publish statutory notices.

Recommendation
To note the consultation responses, agree to publish the required Statutory Notices, and refer the matter back to the Children, Families & Schools Committee on 6 November 2023 for a final decision.
Financial impact
No specific monetary amount stated. The merged school would receive formula funding equivalent to the two predecessor schools for the relevant part of the year, followed by 85% of the combined lump-sum allocation for one financial year and then one lump-sum allocation thereafter; the closing school's residual revenue balance is likely to be a deficit.
