Everything below was read out of a PDF by a model It is useful and it is not authoritative. The document it came from is linked in the rail, and where the two disagree the document is right.

The report proposed replacing separate waste collection and disposal arrangements for Housing Repairs & Maintenance, Housing Estates and Tenancy Sustainment with new waste management contracts. The proposed contracts would run for three years, with an option to extend for up to two further years, and would cover waste collection, disposal, recycling and specialist services including bio-hazardous waste removal.

Recommendation
Grant delegated authority to the Executive Director of Housing, Neighbourhoods and Communities to procure and award waste management contracts for the three Housing Management service areas, with an initial three-year term and an option to extend for up to two further years subject to satisfactory contractor performance.
Financial impact
Approximately £400,000 annual spend across the three service areas, funded from the Housing Revenue Account revenue budget; tender prices may have implications if substantially different from the 2024/25 provision.
