The programme will offer short breaks and holiday activities for disabled children and young people aged 4 to 25, with the refreshed service intended to launch at Easter 2024.

Recommendation
That the Committee instructs the Executive Director for Families, Children & Learning to take all necessary steps to award grants to multiple providers for up to a maximum annual award of £130,000 for an initial one-year term, with an option to extend for up to two further one-year periods subject to good performance.
Financial impact
An anticipated initial core budget of £130,000 is available for the programme; annual spending on children’s direct payments is approximately £1.04 million.
