Everything below was read out of a PDF by a model It is useful and it is not authoritative. The document it came from is linked in the rail, and where the two disagree the document is right.

The report proposes giving more employees redeployment rights from the start of their employment when their jobs are at risk of redundancy. This would apply to employees with over two years’ service and those with less than two years’ service who are on contracts lasting at least two years, while excluding seasonal and shorter-term fixed-term roles.

Recommendation
Change the qualifying service requirement in the redeployment policy so that employees with under two years’ service can access the redeployment register if their contract is due to last at least two years, and approve the draft amended Redeployment Policy.
Financial impact
There are no direct financial implications arising from the recommendations. There is an unquantifiable, low risk that wider access to the redeployment pool could increase redundancy costs.
