It will monitor transition services, ensure additional funding is used appropriately, and provide challenge and support until the end of the Autumn term 2024, with the September 2023 Year 5 cohort tracked through its move to secondary school in September 2025.

Recommendation
To establish the Transition Board in accordance with the draft Terms of Reference, with political oversight from the Co-Chairs of the CF&S committee and meetings chaired by the Assistant Director, Families, Children and Learning (Education & Skills).
Financial impact
Additional funding will be monitored to ensure it is used wisely and accounted for; no amount is stated.
